ABOUT
Ransom is a 3 piece band that formed in 2009 consisting of a father and two sons, whose primary focus has been to play some of the best cover music possible for the north country. Over the years they have incorporated various fourth members, but always managed to revert back to the core trio that worked so well. Ransom has played a few different genres along the way, but has found their home in outlaw style country music and settled into it, playing covers from the likes of Bob Seger, Charlie Daniels, Brantley Gilbert, Luke Combs, Jason Aldean, and Justin Moore. Jake Desormo, who is the lead guitarist and lead vocalist has been releasing original music on most online music retailers, as well as producing his own EP which is available for purchase at Ransom shows where you can hear Jake’s new singles played live. Ransom also plays a mix of modern rock and country covers and are regularly adding and subtracting material from their set list to keep their shows fresh, while retaining some of the crowd favorites. Ransom has been expanding their venues to include local music festivals such as Brew York, Indian Summerfest, and Black Shoe Productions’ Stop The Hate events. We are currently booking for the 2019 season and dates are filling up fast. It has been a fantastic 10 years playing for all of our fans, and we are still making new friends everywhere we go. We are looking forward to seeing what new opportunities this new year has to bring.
